It is strange how I have found my communication skills declining with the incease of my social network use. I find myself speaking in 140 charactors or less.. haha, not really. What is true is that I am becoming socially inacceptable during some conversations, especially in comfortable settings where the other person cannot understand what I am trying to say. Or difficulty in understanding my objective for sharing... In which I blame twitter. Bottom line, twitter has made me give off random outbursts of information. I even feel that writing this is difficult to explain, as my brain cannot comprehend the complexity of communicating the issues of my difficulty to communicate because of social networks and the computer. AIM, facebook, myspace, twitter and others have rotted my brain. Social networks are like crack.

Hello, I know that they may have others that have a problem like I do. I was born, raised and live in the South. New Orleans(NA`LINS) as it comes out of my mouth. I will never forget a trip I took to a concert on the Gulf Coast of my neighboring state of Mississippi. As I waited in line to go in, I started to talk to some of the other concert goers. Then it was asked;Where are you from? You Talk Funny! Here with a Mississippi accent I was asked that. I looked around for paper and pen to give my answer. Recently I started DJing on the internet in a chat room on a social network and when I started speaking on the mic to give the name of the station and title of the song, it all came back to me. I TALK FUNNY! I now know why my voicemail is not my greeting. I have learned that writing and spelling in school should be taught because so day someone will say YOU TALK FUNNY! MY Favorite line in a movie "Sling Blade" is [I Like the Way You Talk] thank you A.J.LeBlanc P.S. Don't get me going about how my last name is pronounce! |
