I have been complaining about the news for a while now, and I am completely burnt out on it. So for those of you that have enjoyed my articles, too bad. They are coming down soon. I debated on sharing my secrets of web development, marketing and social networking... nope. So I decided to just say exactly what is on my mind instead. And currently, there have been 2 things on my mind... yes only 2. 1) Hockey Playoffs! Go Wings! 2) Getting Pro Tools 8 M-Powered and M-Audio Fast Track to work on my PC. Come to find out, Pro Tools is not compatable with Vista 64-bit. But there are forums that claim they got it to work. I will tell you this, 5 straight days of installing and uninstalling is driving me crazy! So I decided to try other software with no success. I have never been so frusterated and if I hear 1 more time, "you should have bought a MAC" I might snap. If I was the incredible hulk, a majority of the East Village would be destroyed. Children screaming. And that's all I have to say about that.

what did you get to work in the end? Sonar 8 is 100% vista friendly and is so much more powerful than pro tools M-powered or Pro Tools LE. infact it has superiour sample rates and bit depth to the HD systems for a fraction of the price. give it a spin http://www.cakewalk.com/sonar |

| I went with Cakewalk Sonar 8 first and it was not compatible with my sound drivers. So I decided to switch to Pro Tools, since it is the industry standard and I know the program better. I got M-Powered Pro Tools to work, finally. I had a second computer that had Vista 32bit and it went right in. Fast Track Pro gave me some issues, then I had to deal with a ground loop, but overall.. finally it works!! | |
